Simon the digger !!!!Top 5ecret anime edition: Number 3 - Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is a "mecha anime" made by Gainax. But calling it a mecha anime is a huuuge understatement. In reality, it's an experience, of going from nothing to everything and all the good and bad things that come with it.
This might have sounded a bit confusing, so let me bring some light. Imagine a far future, where humanity was pushed back to living underground, never to see the light of day during their entire lives. But one day, it all changes, and you discover the wonders and dangers of the surface. Not enough ? Well then rid the planet of it's dangers and allow everyone to see how beautiful the sky is ! Still not satisfied ? Well then challenge and win against everyone who'd want to take that freedom away from you, no matter how big or powerful they are, and be prepared, because not even god will allow you to have it.
This is Tengen Toppa, this is Gurren Lagann ! Just who the hell do you think we are !?!?!
