My second homemade wand. i made it for a friend who wanted an "emo looking wand". Lol. its black, with the dark mark wrapped around it! What do you think?????Related content

How did you make the paper look so much like wood? I sponged watered-down black and dark orange paint on mine for aging and highlights, but that looks like actual wood. It's got great texture.

oh thats a really cool idea!!! anyway, what i did to make it look like wood was I hot glued over the whole thing with a little bit of glue. I just made small up and down strokes and it ended up looking like wood.

Thank you so much!!!! You should definitely do it. It's really cheap to make and looks cool afterwards. I actually gave this one to my friend because she liked it that much. I'm making more with designs similar to this one too!

I wrapped paper around a wooden dowel so it looks wider at one end (like a wand). Then I made wood designs and the dark mark design with hot glue. I stuffed the inside with paper and hot glued the end. I sanded the tip and painted. and that's pretty much it. It only cost me 25 cents because I had to buy a really long dowel and cut it.

Its actually pretty simple. I had a wooden dowel that I sanded the tip of and wrapped a piece of paper around the dowel so that the handle is wider than the tip. I stuff the empty space within the wand with paper and hot glue. Then the rest I hot glued! I hot glued over the wand to make it look like wood and made the dark mark design. Then i painted it...Sounds kind of stupid, but i think it looks pretty good.

I particularly love the fact the snake tongue of the Dark Mark is wrapped around the wand itself.

Actually, it's not made of a particular wood. Its mostly made out of paper and hot glue...Sounds weird, but it actually looks kind of cool.
