What stands out to me is the effective use of whitespace and cropping. I've looked at several SU themed pictures today and I'm pretty sure that all of them left background above the subject at the top of the canvas, in many cases only having the character continue past the border at the bottom if at all. So looking at this, it immediately stood out to me because there is such a stark division between the characters and background. It serves as a good reminder how tall Rose was. Pearl is not short either but compared to Rose, she is relatively small. This serves as a good reminder of how strong an effect the correct cropping can create. I've often had a forcing need to make sure that the subject of a picture is fully visible but you have shown that ruling the top of the head out of the frame doesn't take away anything, it rather leaves more canvas area to parts that actually matter in terms of making the character recognizable.

Yes, Rainbow Quartz forever! Ahahaha when it comes to Gem shipping, you don't even have to try thinking of a ship name, you just need to figure out the fusion name and you can roll with that! Not that I ship them... I mean, I would if the show took place before Steven was born and wasn't actually about Steven, but I love the show's story as it is and don't want it to be changed just because I think Pearl and Rose are adorable together, so I refrain from shipping them even though I really want to.
