Just curious... May I ask if the title is a reference to the song "In the Court of the Crimson King"? I always wondered if Mr. King knew that one...

If you read his book "On Writing", I think he talks about that. I'm not positive if it was that interview or not, but I'm certain I've read him saying that it was deliberate, and that he's a fan of King Crimson. Yes, it was equally a reference to that song as well.
