Description
Essentially a Vickers gun upscaled to .50-caliber, the Vickers .50 was designed for use in tanks, but ended up being used mostly as an anti-aircraft gun by the Royal Navy. Compared to the american Browning guns, the Vickers guns were not as powerful and ended up superseded by the 20mm Oerlikon guns.
Quadruple mounts were the most commonly used on british warships. The japanese purchased some of these in the 1930's, though they had been replaced by Hotchkiss guns by the time of the war. Many quadruple mounts were given to the Soviet Navy as lend-lease guns, mostly used in their older ships.

Sadly this model is missing the rear of the guns, presumably to save vertices.
