Yeah, I was really tempted to touch it just to feel that softness (I didn't and no-one else either), but what's funny is that we had two Labradors with us, but neither tried to catch it or even get close.

Very unusual, especially for these dogs! At first, when we discovered the bird, they tried to come sniffing, but we drove them off couple of meters before they reached it by just saying something like "don't come". After that they showed no interest at all towards it.
