Description This poor little fellow walked right in front of me after a short swimming trip. It was so close that I couldn't get any closer shot without moving back (approx. 1 meter, the pic's not cropped). It was probably separated from its brood in a windy weather and was taken away by the sea gulls not long after this pic was taken
Such is life...

As much as I'd wanted the story to end that way, it didn't. Seagulls grabbed it as soon as we went few meters away and by the looks it had no chances at all...

Oh well ... Seagull babies want to survive too ...

Yeah, I was really tempted to touch it just to feel that softness (I didn't and no-one else either), but what's funny is that we had two Labradors with us, but neither tried to catch it or even get close.

Awwwwww, not even a whiff of sniff? That's unusual.

Very unusual, especially for these dogs! At first, when we discovered the bird, they tried to come sniffing, but we drove them off couple of meters before they reached it by just saying something like "don't come". After that they showed no interest at all towards it.

Wow, well-trained then!

Well, that's not exactly how I'd describe them...

The other Lab is ours and the other one my wife's brother's, but neither of them could be called well-trained - and that's what makes it so very unsual.

Hmmmm! I see!

I gather these are "wag tail, and everything on table on tail-level is swiped to the floor" type of doggies.
