Last weekend I read Heartless by Marissa Meyer, and I finally got around to some fanart! This is just a sketchy thing, so it took no more than a few hours, but I'm pretty satisfied with it considering~This is from one of the scenes near the begining of the novel, when Cath (the main character) is in a bright red dress at a dance. At one point, notes are raining down from the ceiling, and she is in wonder, spinning and watching them pass. This is the first time the joker sees her...and the moment he knows that, one day, she will be queen. I JUST REALLY LIKE DRAWING DRESSES. No legs! Yeahhh~~~~

I'll comment on here too since I commented on NightmareSiren 's just now. Hum, the contrast between her near-achromaticness and your saturated redness is rather apparent when these deviations are displayed right next to each other haha. I suppose that's rather appropriate since you're depicting opposite parts of the book.
Also, the two of you and intricate crowns. Gee whizzics.

Color schemes make a huge difference in mood, so yes. Though I do typically choose really saturated colors so.....

It's true, but after spending a few hours (or more than a few) on a drawing and I'm at a point I can call finished, I love the drawing. I feel really proud and happy about it. I mean, I stop feeling that way normally within the next day, but it's this short feeling of satisfaction I draw for and the reason I try to improve—because one day, maybe, that feeling will stay. And improvement is the greatest satisfaction of all!

I looooove the colours! Of course, this is nothing new since your colours always look fantastic, but it's sooooo prettyyyyy. The lighting is very soft and lovely. I like how the notes have a bit of a glow to them 
Arms and torso look good! It's easy to forget that arms have some weight and shape to them, but you got it~ Nicely done!

Ahhh thank you! I love colors so much it's dangerous (as in...sketches are questionable). I tried to do the notes that way to make it look like they're falling, but it ended up making them glow and I thought it was cool so I didn't change it. 
Ohh good! I was a little worried about the arms which is why they blend a bit into the bg shhh but I'm glad they look good~

As usual, fantastic colors, and that hair is really pretty! Man, I haven't gotten to reading Heartless yet (been so caught up with The Young Elites and dayum Adelina Amouteru is fantastic), but I've heard that it's good!
