I really like the overall appearance of the dragon. It lets me think of the classical type of dragon but also gives it a nice twist when looking at the head and the design for the wings you hint at. Since you only detailed in the mid parts of the picture I guess you wanted to try some sort of fading out to the edges and give the image more focus. I like such techniques but I'd say it does not come really through in this case. The brick wall behind him is one cause for this I'd say. It is pretty much detailed in almost every part of your work. Maybe even more in those parts, where the dragon himself is not offering too much detail or even less than the wall behind him. That makes it seem you somehow lost track of your design in this spaces. It works quite fine in the right part of the drawing however. The brick has just a bit of shading and the dragon offers great contrasts in these places without to much detail to loose the focus in the mid. And then this technique starts to work. But in the left half you see the opposite. The shadow of the head distracts a bit from the focus and lures the viewer to the not so important and not much detailed parts (btw the shadows are nice but I would rethink this cast shadow on his wing because it would need a completely different lightsource than the one on the brick wall). Where you stop to detail out this wing structure I'd recommend to let the lines flow a bit more to not create such an "egde" where it stops suddenly. Often a good way of letting detail flow out is to get lighter and lighter in the shading as well with doing so. Then the image gets a bit of an intentionally sketchy look in those parts and even more stresses the focus you have in the middle of the image. Anatomy of the main body looks great to me but rethink the position of the wing on the left hand side of the image. The effective lines of the wings should be parallel to the ones of his shoulders but this is not the case here and makes it look a bit off.

As a fazit I really like your shading, it's stressed to the point it offers great contrast and all in all makes your lightsource pretty clear. Espcially in those important parts like the head, his neck and the claws. I also like the attention to cast shadows like the ratio of the arms to each other and also that you thought of where the shadow of the head would be seen. Just remember that there should not be two options for one part of the body like in this case. Offer only one for one lightsource (things are different when you use more but I'd not say this is the case here). I also like the pose he's in, snarling a bit seemingly drawing back of a possible enemy. It's also great that you offered some sort of background and manage not to loose your focus completely with it. And of course the overall design is nice, not too classic but not to crazy at the same time so you could imagine the creature living. Nice work!

I like the shape of the head and the positioning of both the main horns in the back and the small ones on its forehead. It's a solid piece of work; the shadowing is good, and the stone texture in the back is nice

Great attention to detail, especially with all that shading and the emphasis on each of those belly scales! The design of the dragon is also well executed; I'm liking the shape of the lower jaw (:

The only thing that seems a bit off is the dragon's shadow(s), it appears that the dragon has two shadows going on, one is behind it on the wall, the other on the wing. I guess it would look normal if there was another dragon above it, or there really is two different light sources.

Overall, nice work!

'What is that THING on my belly...this is NOT normal!'

Nice to see some expressions on dragons; usually they look the same. The body language just makes this even more awsome.

Really well done dragon man. lol wish i could draw that well but that wont ever happen in my dreams. The detail that was put into this was really great!

I was wondering though if you would allow me to use this image in the trading card game I am working on; I will give full credit to you if you allow me to use the picture. I will not use this image unless you give permission of course. If you have any questions just email me or instant message me though live messenger at cardsofwar@live.com

Niiice...but one detail look strange to me...

The shadow, on his wing, it's from his head, right?
So, why does this shadow also on the wall? (except if you have two lightspots? It doesn't seems to be...)

But if the shadow on the wing is really from his head, there's a little problem: It's not exactly same as the head itself. The shadow seems to have the mouth closed, but the real one is opened. Also, there's this torn behind that don't appear.

However, despite this, it's a really good dragon ^^
