Really now? But the only stuff I know of Jem and the Holograms were the commercial breaks, I was super young so I don't remember anything of it.

it definitly was better then i was thinking so much of the cartoon was they actually sang and stuff and u don't know how do u pull something like that off in a comic, but i was really happy with it doesnt hurt that my favorite hologram is apparently a lesbian now so woooooooooooooo

Hah, yeah songs in comics are kinda hard to verbalize without the music sheets to let you know how the notes go >~< but they try their darndest for sure. I'm definitely gonna give the show the good old Golden Four Episodes treatment before I commit.
