Description I bought some digital brushes for Krita today, so I thought I'd get out the mirror and test them on a self-portrait. It's been waaay too long since I last painted a portrait.
I'm really digging the textures I can achieve with these brushes! I recommend zooming in to get a good look

If anyone's interested it's called the 'Digital Atelier Pack' and you can buy it here:Β krita.org/en/support-us/shop/
Feedback and critiques are always appreciated!

hi, can you share with me one of the pastel brushes of the digital atelier set please? You see the whole brush set costs too much in my currency for a hobbyist like me. just one of the pastel brushes will do

Thank you so much I find my glasses and the shadow they cast difficult to paint, so I'm especially happy to hear you think that worked!Β

Love the choice of lighting for this pose. And those textures are gorgeous, really makes it look like it’s on a canvas!
i’ve never heard of Krita but it looks amazing as a programme.

Thank you so much! Oh, I should definitely rave about Krita more often - a lot of people have never heard of it, and I think it's hands-down the best painting program out there. And did I mention it's free? I've tried Photoshop and Artrage, both programs with more of a reputation and a decent pricetag attached and I always go back to Krita.Β

Aww, thank you.Β Β Though of course, when painting a self portrait you always have the chance to try to catch your good side! Β
