Description
A little commission for VanderCat who wanted a Daring Do sinking in quicksand (inspired by one of my previous pictures from long time ago that had a soldier pony in quicksand). Since I don't like Daring Do I thought it was a great idea so I agreed in the end. Also, he was a sweet talker so I had hard time being assertive

It is, actually, slow.
If we assert some headcanon that ponies are as dense as humans and that Pegusi are even less dense, Daring Do should float on quicksand like a rubber duck in a bathtub.

Because the "quick" in "quicksand" actually is an older meaning of "quick", like "quicksilver" - meaning "alive".

It's what it's called when it's natural. But don't worry, Daring, there's a misconception that quick sand can make you drown, and now, we're not very dense as a heavy rock, so you only get stuck a bit.

You stop sinking. But unless there is somebody to help you, you will die of thirst or starvation anyway. It's extremely unlikely that you will find a quicksand deep enough to eat you whole and suffocate.
