Yes, I've been obsessed with Harvest Moon lately, and I'd had these random little ramblings in mah head about some things. And this is only the beginning of it! >8VI wanted to do at least a part 2, but... *sniff* My tablet pen stopped working for some reason! ;;;A;;;
The front half did, anyway... I can somehow still use the eraser side to draw, but you know how hard it is to draw with such a rounded end like that? And not being able to right-click with the pen's buttons?! It depresses me to no end...
Well... At least I go home real soon here on R&R, so... I'll just get a new one then... Butitsnotsoonenoughghidfjgksfjhg! TTATT;;;
But anyway... It's true, though! I dunno why people have to be so derned picky with the bachelors of Another Wonderful Life! I always liked them! >|'<
And mah babeh! My little Austan... I loved him to death! ;A; *huggles him some more*
Where'd Usopp come from? I have no idea. He just poofed into the existence of my mental world, I guess.
He be my favorite One Piece character, so dun be dissin' him, yo! He's too full of WIN! >8V
And YESH! That is me impersonating Excalibur from Soul Eater in the last panel thar (with Death the Kid randomly popping in thar, too). Simply 'cause I was noticing how much I was saying "Fool!" in this comic, and I love imitating Excalibur when he exclaims "Bakane!" He makes me giggle when he says it. :'D

I wish it was remade for the 3ds I played the DS one but it didn't end and your child doesn't do anything plus it was badly translated they messed up a huge plot point (it was suppose to take place a 100 years after ANWL and the bachelors and bachelorettes would be the great grand children of the ones in Another Wonderful Life),but Natsume was stupid and messed up everything and just gave them the same names and messed up the Another wonderful life easter egg where if you connected a Friends of Mineral Town game that connected to ANWL to HMDS cute it would show your Another wonderful life character's name on the grave ,but Natsume screwed it up so it just shows your mineral town character's name instead. I like Marlin and Gustafa Skye is super fricken overrated because he such a "pretty" boy ,but I thought he was a girl when I first saw him and he's in my opinon uglier and more of a jerk than rock.

I mean that the anime style tends to idealise & romanticise the human form. As such, the majority of anime fans are more partial to "pretty" characters... It's very refreshing to find someone like you actually championing characters that aren't obviously attractive or sexy!
That's one of the reasons I love Eiichiro Oda's work. He made me adore characters, like Usopp, who wouldn't normally be considered desirable.
In fact your Rambles have made me curious about Another Wonderful Life. I'll head to YouTube sometime to learn more about the characters you spoke so passionately about!

I don't hate Another Wonderful Life and I think all the bachelors are nice though Marvin is my favorite~ My problem with the game is that the days just drag on for so long... After the first year it just so hard for me to push through even though there is only ten days a month and I really want to see my kid grow up...
It might be because the Harvest Moon games I first played before it had a much fast pace with the days.

Since this was my first HM game, I found it hard to adjust to the other games' much faster-paced time, and that there were so many days per season!
I don't believe I have ever made it to the end of year 2 in any of the games, beside this one. XD;
The only reason I never made it to my son's adulthood was because someone had accidentally saved over my file when he had only just become a teenager, and I was too sad to start over. OTL

I can understand that, I don't hate slow pace games, I love RPG games they're typically are. It just when it get so long that I have so much dead time it hard to keep going. In AnWL I'd be done gardening, taking care of the animals, gathering talk to everyone and then I have nothing to do. I'm quite good at getting everything I need done fast. And unlike other harvest moon games I can't just sleep to the next day. If I got to sleep early I end up awake at three in the morning, which make it feel longer.
I see you point though, time goes by faster which makes it's harder to manage and that can make it feel so much longer with the extra days per season, I understand that. It's a challenge for me that I enjoy. The only HM I got pass two years more than once was HM64 and Save the Homeland but that one is different from the rest of the series.
When my game Wonderful Life got erase, my memory card was corrupted, I gave up ever seen my kid grow up. My cute little Matthew... I'll never see you grow up because I don't have to drive.

Haha, this is funny because when me and my sisters bought this game when it came out I thought Rock was so ugly! I always made fun of his haircut xD But I ended up marrying him because Gustafa wouldn't accept my blue feather... Him and Rock were at 5 hearts while Marlin was only at 4 hearts... I don't even know how I got 5 hearts for Rock so easily...? I wasn't even trying!? Rock's son turns out alright though! ;D (All of thye kids turn out alright... xD )

I love this game to. My only problem is a lot of fun looking story lines don't go anywhere. Other then that it was a great game, and I loved the bachelers. I think most girls must set there eyes on one guy, only to discover there not avalible.

And indeed, some people tend to be too discouraged to try for anyone else when they can't get the one they were hoping for. It's kind of a shame because other characters can really grow on you after some time. <|D

Your tablet pen problem could be that you need a new tip for your pen, mine gets worn down too. I think you just need to buy a new one. Nice drawings though.

I have to agree with your thoughts. I've played HM: AnWL for both Boy and Girl version. True the bachelors and bachelorettes aren't much of a variety compared to other HM versions but I think they are by far the most personality variety candidates ever.

I loved AnWL, but I do wish that they had Skye in it. D; I love him too much. Seriously, if he was real, I'd stalk him...and all the tsundere boys and girls! 8D There too cute! I didn't like Rock, for the obvious reasons. He's just such a... such a... sdigubdiu! And- gah! Nvm.
Gustafa was kwl, but... I just couldn't see anything but that nose! If it wasn't so big I may have noticed him better... and those glasses sort of scared me a little.
Now Marlin was pretty awesome, but... He made me think of a "Greaser" so much! Like someone right from the 80's, or Elvis or something.
They were never really "ugly" to me... just certain things about them bothered me and I couldn't warm up to them for the life of me!

And the big/long noses, for some reason, although may not be too appealing at first, eventually becomes a strangely endearing quality to the character that I wouldn't think of getting rid of~ :3

Yeah... In all honesty, I'm ashamed of myself for not being able to see past certain aspects of the characters. If I force myself to interact with them long enough then maybe I'd be able to see them for who they are.
