I like the design, but I think it might be too similar to the previous stage.

Just noticed it's actually better to it be fire than Fire/fighting.

it was fire/dark at first, but then i noticed it doesn't really have characteristics of a dark pokemon. at least i think so... so i just left the fire type

A nasty/brutal personality and occasionally darkish coloring and being nocturnal seem to be enough to have a simple dark-type.
I mostly used Pocchyena and Mightyena as examples. I also checked other dark-types. It seems Conflagrat kinda matches.
