I was testing out the 101 Dalmatians style where they just used pencils instead of painted outlines. I first did a sketch and scanned that and then printed it out in non photoblue and did tighter pencils over that. Then I just did thereshold on the pencils in photoshop and colored it there in channels. I looked at it in just the magenta and yellow channels and it looked lots better so I went with the pink version instead!Related content

There is a regrettable lack of salmon ponies in this world.

They did it a different way. Ub Iwerks made some machine that transferred the pencils onto animation cels.
