In so many of your paintings, are you drawn to paint these women because they have tattoos, or do the women you're drawn to paint just happen to have tattoos? I ask as an admirer of all of your models, especially the ones with tatts..
Great to see a few works in progress from you - I had no idea of your process before...they're shaping up to look very cool..

Thanks. Good question. At first the more interesting women I met (and wanted to paint) happened to have tattoos. Now I'm drawn to them with their tattoos at the forefront of my ideas for new portraits. It's an interesting world for someone who's still not seriously considered (yet) getting one!
