I am sure there are other free alternatives out there. Try goggling "Make my own little planet"

Well first i shot a panorama and then used photoshop to rotate it and turn it into a little planet. Google "Panorama Planet" I am sure you can do it too

First I made out a panorama and then rotated it to make a plant shaped picture. Full 360 degree panorama however can make perfect planet and once I will try and upload that. All can be done via Photoshop. I am using Photosop
