I just recently got into Vocaloid music. Before I was so confused when anyone mentioned Len so I decided to look it up I'm hooked on the sound now of course.

It's basically someone who has recorded themselves speaking all of the Japanese sounds and editing it in a program called UTAU (literally to sing) to the right pitches and lengths to make the songs.
