Description So...I spent a really long time on this, relative to how long I normally spend on manipulations. I also used quite a bit of stock. It feels mostly done to me, but I am really hoping for some good opinions or critiques (long or short!) on this. I would be most appreciative! Thanks!

Very, very picturesque. I wonder if you could sort of "build up" the castle ruins? Maybe have the left-hand building ruins join with the back of the right-hand ruins to form a main building, with a tower on the central island and a gatehouse on the right-hand side of the waterfall?

I believe that it is quite good as is - very believable - but would be miles better with whole buildings showing how the castle was in its heyday.

Not really sure what you mean here...what you are describing is completely different than the approach I took here. I didn't want a "new" looking castle, in fact I prefer the ruins in this image. Most modern or realistic castles don't have water coming from every which way, which sort of helps with it's old and ruined appeal in my opinion. Not really sure how I can join the various parts of the castle together, because this is a photomanipulation with existing stock photos, not digitally drawn art. I could not possibly draw realistic enough looking castle enhancements...my drawing/painting on a computer skills just aren't that great.

However, I do appreciate your detailed comment, and the time you took to write it. Thank you

Very beautiful. Seems like some ruin from the UK.

This is quite lovely!! I love the many flowing water areas! It feels so English-Isle-like, is that what you were going for?

i just feel like there is too much mist surrounding the less-violent-moving water. Either that or there needs to be more moisture in the entire picture, to show that moisture will hang out (so to speak) in this type of environment. In the stream going from the right to the left lower corner of the photo, i feel like there is too much mist there; that is the main area I am speaking about. (But of course, it could always be more turbulent that i can imagine!)

I love how well you've done this image, it looks so perfectly pieced together! I didn't even think that this could be a manipulation until i read the info!

you know what!? I think this picture needs a flying horse... or maybe a unicorn, or some dragons flying high in the sky!! lol just playing with you.

*favorites it a million times*

Lol, maybe one day I will add something magical to this, just for you! Thanks for the critique, too, I appreciate it. The whites are a little over blown in this picture, which is partly why the mist looks too intense in spots.

Thanks again!

This is amazing! My only critique is that i wish the water wan't as blurry on the far right waterfall, like the mist and stuff. But it's still a great picture!

Yeah, that is partly due to the filter I ran this image through. It made the whites REALLY white, and I tweaked it a little to help make the detail show up, but it still needs more, I think. But I appreciate the lovely comment; thank you!

It looks very good and very real .
Just the waterfall which falls down between the two towers looks like it is coming out from nowhere .

I like your pic very much. You have done a good work blending all those elements together, I know it is not easy. Only thing I can say that you could bring more depth to the pic by deepening shadows and rising some parts with light, may be trying desaturation or bluring. Anyway it is a beautiful pic and I am curious to see what you create next.

Yes, I was thinking that myself. The problem is that the light source is coming from behind the whoever "took" this picture, and so it stands that the background (ie the peninsula and the ocean) would be fairly light in color. It would look a lot better if the background was darker, I think. I'll have to tweak it more.
