I wish I could draw like this!! I'm an amateur colourist, I can't draw to save my life did such an amazing job with these lines, they're beautiful! I'm glad you like the pic though, it was so much fun to work on

I'm pretty sure that draws full time They're certainly good enough to be a Marvel employee in my opinion
I would love to a full time colourist, I'm still a long way off yet, I'm learning a lot here and I'm seeing improvement in my work Thanks so much for your kind words It's awesome that you think so highly of my colouring

You're still a long way off? If this is any indication of where your work is then I'd say you've nailed it! Yes, your partner's linework is most definitely good enough for Marel, in my humble opinion, but so is your color work. Don't sell yourself short! You are a fantastic artist!

Thank you SO much! I really appreciate that! I'm working hard to improve my colouring and it's nice to know that others think it's good!

I really can't draw at all! The closest I come to drawing is when I overpaint pieces for people, that I do mostly by hand, I'm working on one at the moment 's Dragon Rider piece [link] which is a combination of hand drawing and highlighting the line art and colouring it. Hopefully that should be finished and up this week, I am learning to draw, but it's a very slow process

You just defined what a coloring and "clean-up" artist does. Perhaps you should think about approaching some of the comic/graphic novel houses with your talents. The worst thing they could do is say no. As an author, I learned to accept that not everyone is going to want my work, and I think being an arist is much the same, just a different medium.

It's true I suppose, nothing ventured, nothing gained I'd need some sort of portfolio for that, I should maybe think about getting one together, and you're right, even if they say no, I've given it a shot Nothing stopping me improving (which I'm trying to do all the time with this) and then going back in with "How about now?"
