Description This is another one that started out as a doodle while talking on the phone. I took it from there, made it larger, drew it with a sharpie pen and colored with watercolor pencils.

It's supposed to represent nature... at the bottom is earth, with seeds, then a night sky, green growing things, a red leaf to represent autumn, a flower, bubbles, water, rainbow, and squiggles.

Of course, squiggles are the best part of nature... don't you think?

Thanks. I'll be doing another soon. Just a few nights ago I was laying in my bed trying to sleep and kept wanting to get some paper and a pen and doodle away... but I made myself go to sleep. Otherwise, I would have been up all night... But it's in me and needs to come out (you know what I mean???).

I love mosaics. I want to do one, one day. I thought about doing one on a glass patio table, with glass pieces. It would be beautiful...

Yes it's a great way to recuperate something that we have seen enough of !
I'm a big recuparator myself, I do it to save money & also coz it's less time consuming then starting from scratch.
I love to buy something for almost nothing & then change it to someting that looks great
Ha Ha...and I also need to always have a project going....
With the years I realize that it keeps me sane

I usually have two or three things going on at once. Some get finished, others don't. Mainly because I'm usually self taught. So I just keep going until I make too many mistakes and can't back out.

That's what happened to [link] and now I don't have the gumption to buy more silver wire and start all over.

Their is NOTHING wrong with this piece !
It's soo nice !
U'r too critical, wear it and U'll see U'll get compliments for it

PlanetaryButterfly In reply to Seahorse-61 [2009-02-20 19:01:12 +0000 UTC]

Oh, no... there's nothing wrong with it at this stage... but I went further, and ruined it.

I might be able to take off the wire I added and return it to this state, but I'm afraid to touch it right now. I'll have to think on it.

The stone falls out when it's like this, though. So I'll have to glue it in, which is what I was trying to get away from.

Seahorse-61 In reply to PlanetaryButterfly [2009-02-20 20:51:44 +0000 UTC]

You know, using a little glue is like using a little photoshop
Nobody's noticing & it enhances the job

My moto in art is; Everything goes as long as I get the result that I want !!
Actually my best pieces emerged from a screw up
I'm good at patching up HiHi

PlanetaryButterfly In reply to Seahorse-61 [2009-02-22 14:03:44 +0000 UTC]

Yes. One of these days I'll pull that piece out and work on it.

I haven't felt the urge to do wire working in a while...
