And here he is! Which one is your favorite so far?

Now I’m sure you’ve already connected the very literal dots. The star constellation, the red thorns… As you should already know, this will be a series of 5 portraits of the main Jojos, and they’re all visually connected at the edges, making a long flowing picture! We’re on Day 3 now, 3/5 Jojos done. Today I bring you Jotaro Kujo, perhaps the most iconic of them all. The man who oraoraora’d the unliving shit out of DIO.

Jotaro is one of those characters that I didn’t love at first (Jean Pierre Polnareff was my favorite crusader) but I got to understand him and retroactively appreciate him after Parts 4 and a bit of 6 (still reading!). Maybe in the future I’ll draw some Part 4 Jotaro, he’s great. But don’t get me wrong: He’s still AMAZING in Crusaders and when he shines, he truly shines. Jonathan and Joseph would think in an extroverted way, say their thoughts out loud, but there’s SOMETHING about this silent character who doesn’t say a word and only expresses himself through his actions and manners. You look at Jotaro and you can only help but wonder: “What’s going on inside that head of his?”
The answer: he’s just probably thinking about punching you. Repeatedly. Very hard.

This time I don’t want to explain what I tried to convey in this painting, I’ll leave that to you down in the comments, up for your own interpretation.

(Fun fact: during the sketching phase, this was actually the easiest character to get right, his process went surprisingly smooth)
