Description 18 M36's of the B1 variant were given to the Philippine Army in the 1950's. Like the counterpart, the M18's, they were used to support infantry in a fire support mission. Although it didn't seen in action in Korea as the M18's did, they were effectively used in a fire support mission against the communist Huk insurgents. In late 1960's, they were put out of service in favor of the Panhard AML90's and M41's.
