Knuckles was a famous singer. Rouge was one of the only ones who wasn’t a fangirl. Now, Knuckles had somewhat of a crush on this Rouge gal... Okay so it was a huge crush. She was the only one that he could actually talk to, (and who wouldn’t smother him with hugs) but whenever they were together people thought they were on a date. “Oh, we’re just friends.” Rouge would say when asked if they were dating.
So Knuckles had a dilemma. He was in love with Rouge, but was to girl-shy to talk to her about it. He decided to ask Rouge’s brother, Shadow for some help.
Knuckles walked up to Shadow. “Hey Shads I-”
“If it’s about Rouge the best I can do is put in a good word.” Shadow stated, not even looking up from the emerald he was fiddling around with.
Knuckles was surprised. “Hey how did you-”
Shadow got up and walked to Knuckles. “Knux, I know you like my sister.” At this, Knuckles started blushing. “You’re a really cool guy, and I’d love to help you.” Shadow put a hand on Knux’s shoulder. “But this isn’t my subject.” Shadow shook his head before taking his hand back. He turned away and started walking. As he was walking, he looked back and waved. “Why don’t you go ask Sonic or something? See ya.” Shadow said as he smiled, before leaving.
Knuckles sat there, astonished. Shadow had been known as extremely overprotective of his sister, and he had just approved of him. Knuckles just sat there in shock for three minutes before Amy Rose came up and started waving her hand in front of his face.
“Hello~ Earth to Knuckles~” She said and got impatient. “KNUCKLES!” She screamed in his face.
“Huh? What?” Knuckles said, being awakened from his shock. Amy stood there confused.
“What was that all about? Why were you ignoring me?” Amy asked with a frown.
“I wasn’t ignoring you… I was shocked…”
“‘Bout what?” Amy said, curiously.
“…Shadow just gave me his approval.” Knuckles answered the young hedgehog.
“That’s great!” Amy beamed. “He doesn’t normally do that…”
“Really?” Knuckles responded with a blush. Feeling the heat on his cheeks, he shook his head. “A-Anyway have you seen Sonic?”
Amy smiled and blushed a bit. “Y-yeah. I just talked to him…” She let out a loving sigh. “He’s so romantic…” Her blush grew and Knux had a confused look. Amy shook her head but the blush wouldn’t leave. “H-he went that way…” Amy said as she pointed to the right. “In the p-pavilion.” She stated, pointing to one by the river.
“Thanks Amy.” Knuckles got up and went on his way. Amy sighed after he left.
“Sonic likes me~” She said with a grin, and a face as red as Knuckles.
