The detail in your swans face is very fine, and looks quite realistic. However, with charcoal, there is opportunity for much more defined, smooth shading (achieved with smudging). I think you could have a lot of fun playing around with the medium a bit more- don't be afraid to go bold, and get it all over your hands and arms. I also think the water could be made to look much more reflective with more shading.
Good job on the realistic aspect of this piece, it's a nice drawing.

Wow, this is quite impressive. It's very realistic, especially the feathers and all. I've tried drawing birds time and again and know how difficult it can be. So, really, respect. It's a beautiful piece.
