Description Yeah, point at randoms who just happen to be good and refer to them as a master of an obscure art, but Vierbit is definitely up there

This was my second attempt at digesting how his style of grass used in Seyken: Crystal Kingdom worked. It works with sheer repetition of shapes and simple suggestion of details. Said sheer repetition of shapes is also, to me, looks like has been stretched as a stylistic choice to be used on other objects, such as tree trunks.

Oh yeah, his trees are awesome too. I had to make a loose imitation to learn how to do conifers.

It looks repetitive because they are actually tiles form a tileset.

I'm not sure if you're referring to the tiles with "sheer repetition of shapes" or to other thing.

I could draw every inch of grass with absolutely no copying and pasting and still repeat the same general shapes of grass all over this image. I think of complaints about the quality of tiling when it is basically clearly straight copying and pasting, or that things too uncannily appears to align to a tile grid.
