Because I am a yaoi fangirl, and these four are my Naruto OTPs, I believe, in the bottom of my heart, that Naruto and Sasuke (yes I'm a NaruSasu; Uchiha's just Β scream UKE to me) will end up together and that will be like all their predecessors being together. Β You know, how people compare Naruto to Hashirama, Jiraya, and Obito (when he was younger) and also compare Sasuke to Madara (even the Kurama said so), Orochimaru, and Kakashi (he even said Sasuke was like him).
I've heard rumors and read fourms where Kishi is debating on ending Naruto with a shounen-ai; a girl can only hope.

It's so sad what happens to these guys. The title fits the pic perfectly, and I'm simply in love with your drawing style. Life's a bitch, and each one of these character's background stories is proof of that. If it wasn't for the family feud, Mandara and Hashirama wouldn't have had to hide their friendship to the point where it was so easily torn apart. If Orochimaru's parents hadn't been murdered, or someone to reach out in time to help him, he wouldn't have chosen the path that destroyed his friendship with Jiraiya. If so, so much hadn't happened to both Sasuke and Obito, Things wouldn't be as they are now and the Ninja world wouldn't be at war. It's just such a crying shame.
