I went to see 'The Dark Knight' last week, and my god it lived up to the reviews. Heath Ledger was incredible. One of the greatest movies ever, in my opinion; although some critics are saying that only an academic would be able to understand it, I think that the complexity of the movie was a real bonus.
The audience doesn't need everything spelled out for them. I prefer movies that make you 'think'. Anyone remember 'The Prestige'? THAT was a great movie.

Getting side tracked. I often decorate the backs of my school books, but mostly with text and maybe a small image or two. My Australian Geography book has Sweeney Todd on the back, for example.
Well, my old science book fell apart so I got a new one with a fresh, new back.

I've got very little of an idea of how long it took, but I'm guesstimating about 5 hours. I used pencil to sketch, but I drew + coloured in black ballpoint pen. On cardboard (the back of my book).

I changed a few things from the original pic, such as replacing 'Joker' down the side of the card with my own name and 'Science', and the card originally had batman on it, but I drew on a joker from a Queen's Slipper deck I had with me.
I also didn't ref the hair (I drew that bit in Maths) so it looks a little different to the ref but I like it this way.

I'm really proud/happy with it! I mucked up the nose slightly (its hard when you can't rub pen out) but I'm happy with the glove.
AND the background took forever.
