got any tips cause I've been searching for a pattern for a while and am about to try to make it on my own.

well , the body is pretty easy. Make the legs as long as you want them to be , slip stitch them togethere and go around (making the body) until it's as tall as you want it. then make the head. I think I increased 4 times, sc around 5 times and then decreased 4 times. after you are done making the head, then add the "helmet" details. if you need more help let me know!

How would I add the yellow of his mask? That's what I'm confused on at this moment. I found a pattern that's easy enough for me to change for him, but I'm not sure as to when to start the yellow or how many rows to do for the yellow. If you'd like the link to the pattern I could send it.

I bet. I'm surprised you got that much detail into a doll that small. It's insanely cool you can do that. Maybe you should try and find someone who can do small models with plastic or whatever and do an art trade for stuff... but that's just a suggestion. It's what I do when I really want something colored well.
