I've been singing both versions of Hurt all day since watching this episode only last night. This season has packed some immense punches with some extremely depressing moments (the Unity episode, anyone?) I love this picture though. Rick's age really shows, as does his...remorse? Or his resolution to whatever his fate may be. Very well done!

I just rewatched the Season 2 finale and the Unity episode today. I had forgotten in the Unity episode that before he attempted to take his own life, he had killed that little creature. The way that thing just looked so helpless...and the way he stroked it, lovingly, like saying, "Shh, shh...it's okay...it'll be alright. You're going to a better place." And then just...killed it. And I didn't know the song but damnit, it set the mood so perfectly. Gah, I'm tearing up just thinking about it again! Curse and yet kudos to the creators for making me feel like this!
