Ah good! I got my first job a month ago and its helped me a lot, both to save money for a car and just to get out of the house and interact with people, haha
I'm slowly getting my motivation back for art though; its been faltering lately since work takes all my energy haha

Oh wow congrats on the job! I really just need to get a job/money so I can move out of the house and not have to rely on my parents anymore >////<
I can imagine work does take a hit on the energy for art. This job I applied for is 9-5 so hopefully that'd leave plenty of time for art afterwards....I hope.

Thank you! I know that feel though, I'm saving up for a used car so my parents can at least stop having to drive me around >.<
I only work like five-six hours regularly and two days off per week, so I have time, just motivation likes to run away from me haha. But, I'm getting it back ouo!

Thats a good way to start, my first couple jobs were the same way (and they were at gamestop too, it was the best!) Starting with low hours gives you time to relax and get used to it. Saving for your own car is awesome too! My parents were nice and bought me one, but its nearing 10 years old now and its becoming increasingly obvious that it wasn't a very good car to being with. But such is life :3

Here's to hoping I can start making money soon! I'm actually gonna be posting leftover stock from the con here on DA so hopefully someone will wanna buy stuff

Ahh, I wish I could work there haha, I work in a food place, but its not too bad. Its easy enough haha.
I am going to driving school next month, its pretty nerve-wrecking since I have always been much more cautious/kind of afraid of vehicles haha

Well thats a start! I got the Gamestop gig totally by luck. The manager at the time was just nice enough to remember that I was looking for a job (and was super regular there).

Driving school/ Driver's ed can be scary definitely. I was none too thrilled to start driving, but what my mom did was she'd take me to a nearby cemetery and I'd drive around there. There's no one to hit, you can't drive fast, and the lanes are nice and easy to follow. Maybe give that a try? Also know that in the drivers ed car there is typically an emergency brake installed in the passenger side where the instructor sits. I'm certain it won't be needed but its a nice thing to know in case something bad happens

Being wary of the road is definitely a good thing. It beats overconfidence any day. I've been hit in a vehicle enough times to be kinda jumpy in the car. When I'm driving I'm okay though. Even then when I'm in the passenger seat I'll sometimes unconsciously break for impact, it annoys my boyfriend to no end XD

But, I will also say, don't let a fear of driving stop you from enjoying yourself. I was terrified of highway driving for years (cuz I've been in the country/small towns all my life there was never a need to drive on the highway). In the end it was a major inconvenience I had to get over (cuz asking my boyfriend to drive to my place 3 hours from Baltimore got old). I still don't really like the idea of driving in major cities, but getting over my highway hangup was good for confidence.

Lantern Dragons and Stardusters are still my faves, but seeing the variety she comes up with for weavers is amazing!

Oh gosh I am both anticipating/dreading halloween adopts, they destroyed me last year, when I got a fall/halloween themed lucky chime, weaver, mantibab, and sushicat >/////< I'm not sure I'll be strong enough to resist this year. This is my fave time of year and it makes everything 1000000x more tempting!

thats a really cool thing about a lot of the adopts here on DA, so many species are unique, its not often that a weaver design speaks to me, but they're all so different and cute!

YESSS FALL IS THE BEST, I really really would love to make some adopts but im still feeling like mine aren't ready yet >////< that and i still need to buff up on digital art stuff. i feel so out of shape XD

Yeah, I am pretty picky when it comes to adopts, but there never fails to be astounding designs to reel me in, especially around this time, haha. My favorite Weavers and Mantibabs are all Halloween/fall themed xD

Halloween is my absolute favorite time of year for designs OwO I'm trying hard to snag a halloween weaver, bidding on candy corn now! Fingers crossed i snag the lil bugger! I agree! I really hope Jawn does some good ones. Halloween sealed the deal for me for mantibabs too, so even though I almost 100% won't get one this year its a goal to eventually get one that I click with I'd be fine with a halloween flower critter too, he did some amazing ones last year.
