It's been more than a year I posted a proper drawing of my OC Lioji, first character I created after joining dA. The reason is I have difficulties with simple designs and music themed art isn't really my forte eve""But after positieve feedback about him, I realized "pretty" characters aren't all about details. So I have to thank you guys for making me like him again Also I don't have trouble to draw
simple designed characters now lol.
A while back my friend and I were talking about music. While she plays the piano, I asked what instrument fits me the best. She said "the bass" and I immediately started to draw this lol.
Forgive me if it doesn't look 100% right. This image just popped up in my head hehe. I'm using too much blue asdfghbekwedfe OTL

Haha, glad you agree with me. Most people are stuck with this thought.
Same goes in real life lolz. I try to show my OC's personalities using art, mostly their good idea huehuehue.

Well about simple designs, I think one thing that is pretty hard about them is to make a character look unique even tough its design is simple..hm is that even understandable o_o? First of all, let me tell you that a good design
isn't based on how much details it has. It is
hard to make a good, successful design of very
little details. Most people think that a design to
be good and successfull mustΒ have a lot of details
which is wrong. cx
I believe your character is strong and simple enough
to stant on his own and to be given a special skill.
That is why this picture of yours is so beautiful!
Also these ideas who just pop up in your head they
are full of spirit, they are alive! The blue palete I
believe, fits well to the feeling of the pcture!

I'm glad the blue isn't overdone. Somehow I often tend to Β "over use" one color in a piece that's why I experiment more with colors lately.
