Description
The hatred between lions and hyenas in the Pridelands grew stronger with the passing generations, and when an especially cruel and psychotic matriarch took control, vicious attacks ensued between the eternal enemies. Near the end of Mohatu’s life, he was viciously attacked by the hyena clan while on one of his morning walks. (His father had banished the clan long before he was born for murdering Mohatu’s older brother). It was Uru who found him lying in a pool of his own blood, the old lion barely clinging onto life. She called the shaman and the pride for help and lay by his side until sunset. When he had fallen into a deep sleep, the princess left his side, filled with wrath. She hated those creatures who had mercilessly been attacking her pride, but now, they had gone too far. She became enraged and bloodthirsty for revenge. She set out toward the graveyard intent on killing any hyena in her path.

The clan was weakening from all the fights they had instigated with the pride, and their numbers were dwindling lower than ever. Despite this the crazed clan leader insisted they keep up the attacks. Uru took advantage of their weaknesses, and boldly trespassed into hyena territory. That night, the clan felt the fury of Uru, as she claimed the life of their matriarch. The new leader of the clan was more cautious than her predecessor and waited. Ceasing the attacks on the Pridelands for a long time while the clan recovered from their losses.
