If any of you have read my journal, "Things I Want to See in Pokémon Sun and Moon," you might remember that one of the creatures that I said I wanted was a pure-Flying Eeveelution. I'm pretty sure that the standard is set that an Eeveelution be produced on even-numbered generations, but I'm throwing my idea out there.

Aelreon is a pure-Flying Type, with a stat spread of 60 HP, 65 Attack, 95 Defense, 110 Sp. Attack, 65 Sp. Defense, and 130 Speed. Some Abilities I would consider it having are Aerilate and Gale Wings. For moves it can learn, I would give it Gust, Feather Dance, Hurricane, Roost, Air Slash, Defog, and Tailwind, and that's just talking about the STAB moves. Some non-STABs would be Whirlwind, Twister, Razor Wind, and Agility. The rest of the moves are the stock learning moves of every Eeveelution: Tackle, Tail Whip, Helping Hand, Sand Attack, Quick Attack, and Last Resort. For the body size, it would be 2'07" (0.8 m) and 49.7 lbs (22.7 kg).

Aelreon is timid, and prefers not to fight. When threatened, it unleashes a flurry of feathers that disorient the foe before blowing them away in a wild windstorm. Though rare, more aggressive ones would fire a storm of sharp feathers instead.

The design has elements of felines and canids like most Eeveelutions, along with angels and birds with its feathers. The feathers on the back of its paws are derived from Mercury/Hermes' shoes.

The name Aelreon comes from a corruption of aerial and aileron, the latter of which is a plane maneuver that is erroneously referred to as a "BARREL ROLL" in StarFox. The ending suffix -eon was Eevee's prototype name and is found in every other Eeveelution's name. The Japanese name Breezia comes from the English word breeze.

French name: Ventali (from vent meaning wind and the suffix -li like in the French Eeveelution names)

Other features: The classification is Jetstream Pokémon, catch rate is 45, Egg Group is Field, Hatch Time is 9180-9434 steps, Leveling Rate is Medium Fast, the PokéDex Color is White, and Base Friendship is 70.
