I actually spent time on this drawing. I've been working on my contouring. Next I'm going to work on blind contour.Prismacolor markers and .1 micron pen.

Great snail! That linework pulls no punches! I like how you didn't fool with it in any crazy ways, and just kept the colors simple and stuff. Nice choice.

Contouring is when you follow the lines of an object. With animation, you see everything outlined. That's contouring.
Take a look at American money. You can see that the images of our pesidents are nothing but lines in varying thickness and length. That's also contouring
Blind contouring is when you draw the lines of an object without EVER looking at your paper. This teaches you to stop drawing what you think the object should look like. When you draw a face, you subconsciously draw it the way you think it should look and this teaches you to "see" the object.
It's a wonderful technique to perfect if you're serious about art.

Ah thankyou so much for telling me, I just don't really get how you dont look at the paper? If its right in front of you.. I couldn't help it? I definatly want to give this a go, I will ask my art teacher right now!
