I know it's become apart of an Internet meme, but it's still funny as crap. Maybe even funnier than those rancid CD-i Zeldas. Anyway, the lines above are from the awful Hotel Mario for the Philips CD-i. (Yeah, I know, really catchy, aren't they?) I drew the scribbly Mario and Weeg on the left with my left hand, on the more-familiar-looking Mario and Luigi on the right with my right hand. Just to, you know, contrast how good the canonical Marios are in comparison to the awful Hotel Mario.If you haven't already seen the horror that is Hotel Mario, give this a peek... if you're brave.

At least Hotel Mario was more familiar with the Mario universe than the Zelda CD-i games were with their series. The one thing that killed them all the most, though, was that they were mostly based on the American TV shows based on each game series. That, and that the animation in each game was made by Russian animators. (And, by default, Russian animation is some of the worst in existence.) Not to mention the awful story-writing and broken gameplay. >_<

Nah, Hotel Mario is not so bad, but the reputation of others CD-I Games makes him horrid. But it's a game as good as... Well... Say, a certain Mario's Picross, or Dr. Mario.

Heh! I watched some of the Zelda CD-i videos last night, and oh boy... Complete murder of one of my favorite series. And can you say "talks with hands"?
