I just wanted to touch on something that was mentioned in earlier comments, about the box of mysteries/box of weird stuff and what might be in there that might be revealed under truth potion. As a possibility - Jareth is much more human and playful now than he could ever be said to have been in the film. That's good. It gives him a chance with Sarah. The thing is, he's fae, and they are hard to pin down and tend to change on their own whims. Even loosing to Sarah in the film might not be enough to turn the haughty, arrogant, dangerous King into a semi-comic naughty minded victim of the fail-field by itself. Since we have seen him actively try to change himself for her in Pika's lovely comic, maybe he's literally locked the worst parts of himself away in the box? Just a thought.

Wow, what an interesting thought! True, a relationship between human and fae...cannot be easy. Different standards and all that - as you said, they are hard to pin down, shifty as they are...Of course, he is obviously trying hard for Sarah, so this change might be due to his own will to finally win her (since last time it obviously went wrong and he's obviously learned from previous mistakes, just as she has). But this is a rather intriguing idea of the lengths he might go to to achieve his goal...
