Something I wanted to do from long time ;//u//;
I don't feel a pro adoptables maker, maybe I'm not the right person to drop tips, but I received a lot of question about "how to do adoptables" and I think I can explain better with little drawing, something like step by step about My feelings
This isn't a guide, it's only my point of view ;//u//; mine (Mile) and my sister Marie \;//u//;
Many people think "adoptables=money", yes sure you are right, Indeed I lost half of my job and I really need art become my work, but first of all I LOVE design, from the beginning, from when I was a little little child and I drawing drawing drawing everyday on copybooks like a fashion designer, models with outfit, different hairstyle, I love design, if an adoptable didn't satisfied me I don't think "pff...who cares? this is money!" I have almost 800 designs in my folder unfinished, ideas, projects, species, I study continuously, sometimes during the day I look at people around, place, animals, nature, and I search inspirations even while dreaming, because this is what I love ;//u//;
then when someone ask "how can I start adoptables?" my answer will be only "with love and passion ;u;"

Yeah I started making adoptables for DA points in first place then money, but at some points I just had severe art blocks because I started to feel discouraged to keep making them, and after long periods I come back and then again art block, etc.
But it happens if I put effort on them, it frustates me it takes me so much time making a single adopt, so I prefer to go as fast as I can when making a batch.
I really love to draw, and draw for me and others, but it makes me feel so useless if I don't gain anything useful (Like money) out of them, and that makes me feel bad too.
Aaah I just don't know what to do with all these feelingsΒ Β

this is so sweet! being an artist shouldn't just be about money, it's supposed to be something that makes you happy, that you love to do. love and care goes into most artists' pieces, so to taint that with only thoughts of greed is very sad... thank you for making this ;v;

Another good thing to do is when you see a design you like it's good to draw it first to see what it will look like in your style and also to focus when it comes to adoptables on the designs and not the art quality, I've seen some badly drawn adopts before with gorgeous designs ^v^

sometimes it's also good for adopts maker put a little more effort in their designs to let them understandable, because sometimes I receive some design from commissioners and I think "omg I didn't understood nothing >///<"
sometimes a very very good design if it is done with a messy sketch it's very a pity ;_;

honestly? this is a cute thought and drawing! but if someone's in a pinch and needs to make money and they happen to be good at drawing, it's not like they have to pour their heart and soul into their work
telling someone who is in it just for the money that they have to be passionate about their art would be like telling a person working minimum wage as a cook "stop... you're not passionate about flipping those patties... you're being unauthentic"
"must" is a strong word and "ideally" would be better,,, y'all keep doing you though!

what I mean it's if this is not a very passion will be difficult continue even if the things goes not very well in future...
I don't think if people doesn't put all their heart in something it's not good or not "genuine", could be surely something beautiful but for my experience when you put all yourself in what you do, if there is a very very passion people can feel the difference ;//u//;
I think the difference between "make something with fun" and "make something with all our heart" it's a very personal thought, for example I need experiment with art, with designs, because I love searching something able to surprise myself first, and then people, but this is not an "universal thought" people can act in a different way and have a great success, maybe more ;u;
This is just my experience and it's difficult explain with right words ;///;
