I like "Angel Face" even better, but "Oout Of The Past" is quite the movie.  Excellent work, as usual.

Agreed.  Robert Mitchum once said he thought they were just making poorly lit movies!

the beauty of these films very often is in the atmosphere full of lights, shadows and mists

yes, a great masterpiece by Vittorio De Sica and Italian neorealism, some critics claim that the American noir often filmed in the streets of big cities is a kind of American neorealism

Some of it, yes.  On The Waterfront was all location shots.  Sunset Blvd. was more exaggerated for effect.

You like Orson Welles.  I admire Cesare Borgia.  Have you seen "Prince of Foxes"?

Yes, those were all very good, especially Touch of Evil.  Lo Staniero is the only Welles movie to make money.

yes, he wanted to show that he was able to make a "normal" film, for  shoot "Othello" he did incredible things for 4 years to find the money to finish it

Thank you, very nice, I love film noir, the thing that I really like is the use of light, the black and white sometimes hard sometimes shrouded in mist
