I am not great with cute things but for me its a cute as it gets

I love how crisp all of your pictures are, Pali! Most of what I manage to take of Sarah and our Border Collie turn out just the slightest bit blurry. Of course, that's probably because of my not-so-outstanding photography skills rather than something to do with the dogs.

I'd like that, thank you! I really do want to get better with photography, but from what I looked at at my local community college, photography classes just aren't in my budget right now.

great !! first of al your power shot is good enough i promise you...
To get sharp pictures you have to be able to freeze the moment and to do that you have to go to the manual setting on you camera
and turn up the shutter speed to at least 1/320 of a second or more depending on the speed of the thing you are taking the picture of..
the second thin is the ISO try to have it as low as possible the higher to have the ISO the more grain you get in the picture
and the third and last thing is Aperture should be in between F 4,8 to 7.1 to get a great sharpness to the picture
and always try to focus on the eyes
Here are a few pointer if you master this you will do great things with your powershot
