"Nick? Coach? ...Ellis? ...Guys?"Sab wanted me to do a Left 4 Dead fanart, and I figured I should do Rochelle. Whenever she's a bot during gameplay, she lags behind and usually dies first. The other thing I hate about her is that she doesn't have a personality.
I tried to include all the special infected. I think I may have forgotten the spitter.
Enjoy. Took me two days on and off in Photoshop CS3 with my bamboo tablet.

this happened to me once. I was Rochelle and a tank,charger,hunter and jockey was after me and the others died. Can u imagine me playing as rochelle and yelling soo loud that im gonna die.

Hunter's on the upper left, smoker's just one of those random ones. I guess I could have put a cloud of off-coloured smoke around him.

i like Rochelle, she's usually the last to die whenever she's a bot in every game i play (well, thats when im not playing as her hehe) cool pic, i like it

I do think way too many people hate on Rochelle. So what if she's not the most attractive chick out there? Just because she's not 'that girl you wanna bag (but never will)' like Zoey is doesn't make her a bad character. And she's not even that annoying. Hell, I prefer her over Ellis's retarded 24/7 redneck comments, and I don't even hate Ellis.

As rochelle walked through the bog she spotted a dead man pinned through a tree by a witch's claw. At that moment something snapped within the mild mannered reporter she pulled the claw from the corpse and began moveing like the shadows themselfs with such grace and ease the infected had no chance boomer listens intently for the sound of his prey but then a screech one of the hunter his head sways from left to right but then a grizzly sound one of splashs his gaze turns to the water tower above him and to his shock and horror he sees rochelle her hand twisted around a witch's claw deeply embeded within the hunter's throat blood pouring out. The shape of rochelle's body molded in moon light her eyes and body language redeating malevolence. Boomer watches frozen with terror as Rochelle pulls the claw from the hunter letting it fall to the ground below with a sickening thud she then leaps in to the air and in to the shadows but suddenly the roar of a tank is heard fear laceing the roar boomer had never heard the tank roar like that then another splash sound and another thud. Boomer knowing death is about hides in a shake stiffleing his burps and gurgles as best he can.
After pulling her claw blade from the tank's corpse rochelle leaped to the roof top were the witch sat and approached recklessly her pink shirt stained with blood her lips twisted in to a sick grin of sheer pleasure of the slaughter. With glee Rochelle approachs and slips her claw blade in to her pocket and kneels down by the witch. The female infected growls loudly hopeing to scare her off but to no avail. The reporter grins and places both hands on the witch's cheeks. the witch blushes at the sudden touch but lets a growl espape her throat as her claws twiching slightly. Rochelle ignores the witch's warnings and press's herself against her kissing her deeply passionatly one could say. The witch not being able to remember the last time she was shown affection relishes the contact and returns the gesture wrapping her hands around Rochelle's waist and clinging to her tightly shareing her warmpth not only becasue the witch is lonely but becasue she wants to feel human again she wants to feel what normal people feel passion. The pink shirted reporter continues her session with the witch as she slowly slips off her top the cool night air carressing her chocolate brown skin. Rochelle gently picks up the witch and leaps down from the roof and makes her way to a shak ironically the one boomer is hideing in. As she pulls the door open to the shake boomer's fear grows if this survivor could take down a tank he had no chance. He hears purring and slight sighing he peaks his head out from the shak closet and sees something shocking Rochelle kissing the witch passionatly and the witch doing the same. He watches with a mixture of fear and more fear as Rochelle and the witch start removeing each other's tops boomer looks away not only out of respect for the witch but also he was raised better then being a peeping tom. After a few hours of toture waiting to be killed Rochelle and the witch finish their passionate session and the witch falls asleep. Rochelle turns to the closet her grin still stuck to her features."Hope you enjoyed the show..." she says her words sending chills up boomer's spine. had she known the whole time? he wonders his mind raceing."Now get out before i loose my good mood and kill you..." she says her voice loosing its killer's edge and returning slightly to its motherly tone. Boomer heeds her warning and slowly steps over the witch and out the door of the shak he shakes like a leaf as he slowly walks out in to the muddy grown the mutiliated corpse of the hunter at his feet. His heart races as he bolts forward through the wrecked bog town he pass's the tank his arms are severed his eyes scream fear."BOOMER!" a man yells. "NO PLEASE NO!!" boomer yells back in plain english his eyes welling up with tears."D..did it just talk?" Nick asks as he approaches the bloated infected."Wheres Rochelle?!" he yells as he grabbs boomer by the scruff of his shirt. the infected breaks down in nicks arms crying hysterically but quieting down when he hears movment."Dear lord whats wrong with you?" Ellis asks as he approaches the boomer and nick. boomer pulls his head from Nick's chest and says one word."R...Rochelle!" he says fearfully. "What about her? what happend here?" Coach asks as he stands next to ellis. Once again the boomer's only reply is one word."Rochelle..." he says as he points to the dead tank behind the survivors."My lord! no way she killed it oh my god are...are its arms gone?..." Ellis says his eyes widening. Boomer nodded solemly. Wow! thats a long comment! if you want me to continue this story let me know! also this is very well drawn I LOVE IT! i really like Rochelle's awesome eye claw marks 67 stars!

A friend and I took great glee in killing her bot after she screwed up our game by startling the Bride. We were playing the "Flu Season" mutation no less so the hoard was full of Boomers and Spitters.

It was awful. It was only... I think my third time playing (just recently got it). My buddy who's been playing since the start has been training me.
Him: Don't startle the Witch.
Me: I know, I know! I've seen you play it enough.
Him: And don't mess up the music, that will set her off too. Don't even look at her! Just run past. Run, run, run!
Me: All right! *I run past as fast as possible, make it across safe*
Him: Okay, after this we need to-

*Rochelle has startled the Witch*
Both of us: God damn it.
I personally love playing as Nick, but I'm starting to contemplate playing as her just to keep her from messing up our campaigns. And she's ALWAYS trying to bloody heal me when I have over half a life bar... right as a horde is coming after us.

Pretty much everyone i've seen that has said Rochelle has no personality end up making racist remarks in their rants on why she sucks... it's sad so I try to stick up for Rochelle whenever I can. There's no reason to hate her.

Well Im not racist, because I think all Left 4 Dead 2 Characters sucks (Least hated Ellis) and also Nick doesnt seem to have much of a personality either (Just a guy in a suit)
Left 4 Dead had an loveable team, if only they had kept the same characters in Left 4 Dead 2

I don't have any reason to hate her, but her character pales in comparison to the others, so she seems kinda like that one one main character that ironically is greatly overshadowed by the protagonist. In short, I don't hate her, but I see no reason to like her either.

I mainly like her 'cause she's the most feminine, she's soo sweet, pretty, I love the way she dresses and even though everyone else hates her sense of humor, I think she's funny.

She doesn't lag behind in my game, but she is kind of just... there. I'm not very fond of either of the L4D girls. I don't hate them, but it wasn't an instant love like it was with Bill, Ellis or Nick. They're the token female characters, without them the game would be called sexist. I think it's a little more sexist to just throw them in there and not develop them as much as their male counterparts, but whatever.
I really like this drawing, and the scars that Rochelle has. I think out of the four only Nick and Ellis look like they've been through hell, so it's nice to see her portrayed differently in fan art.

She always lags behind in my game too, and whenever she DOES talk, she always has some really idiotic thing to say...
