I'm... I'm tired, but this... took me longer than it should have. Got bored during my Open period one morning and just doodled this up. Scanned it, linearted, and colored it in Photoshop. Dunno how many hours it took, but I'd guestimate at about... 3 hours or something. Maybe more. Probably more.I think Thalzar is kinda out of proportion... slightly. He's only supposed to come up to about... Soot's shoulder, but I'm trying to convince myself that the only reason why he looks taller is because he's in the foreground.
Also, I didn't want to deal with Arson (the yellow dragon in the back with the mane) being another light source as he's supposed to be made out of fire and all, so I just made him a regular dragon... with a red mane.
My shading's pretty much an experiment. The cell shading wasn't working for me and my soft shading wasn't all that awesome either, especially for the lighting, so I decided to use the "paintbrush brush" so I could get those "intermediate shades," if you know what I mean.

It's probably Tuesday where you are, but there's two hours left for Monday here. I'll update the comic in... about.... 16 hours from now. XD

Of the two plauges you introduced, neither really seem to be evil. Misguided perhaps but not evil. From their appearacne (Which is often misleading) I can certainly see the zombie-ish one with the creepy grin to be evil (Or plain nuts) and the "ghost" one in the middle to be evil or even the leader/creator of these.
The 'hydra' I can see as a mixed scenario: One head is more aggressive and the other more "friendly" or less enthusiastic about his/her partner's destreuctive habits.
The plant dragon on the other hand seems to be a bit confused - perhaps at the looks he's getting from Thalzar or maybe how the "smaller dragons" are behaving? Maybe he's just confused as to why he's even there.
Somehow I'm a little nervous about what the "story" behind the plant and the "zombie with the creepy grin" dragons is going to be. I get this feeling that they're going to be less pleasant for the dragon than the poor Sea Dragon's was.
As always I love the expressions on your characters. The red winged female (I forgot her name. Sorry) has this upbeat look on her face that is at odds with the rest of the image which seems to be either fear, apprehension, or anger. Perhaps even some reluctance mixed in

Yeah, most of the Plagues just have a major beef with humans or are just crazy destructive. All of them are independent of each other, though, so no one's the leader.
I can't reveal too much about the Plagues now, because that would be spoilers, but I'll be revealing them... gradually. XD
Thanks, man! Tempra (the red one) is just a little more cheery and fervent about things than everyone else, so when she hears that it's time to kick some butt, she firmly believes that she WILL kick some butt.

The hydra I can actually see being sort of ... In between the good and slightly-less-than-evil sides, while not being one or the other. But that's just what I get from his her expression. Maybe one head is just sleepy or confused like the plant and some of the good dragons (Or reluctant)

Why are you up this late? You should be sleeping and preparing for whatever horrors AP Bio has in store for you and-hey, look at all the ducks dragons! They're so many different colors it almost reminded me of a rainbow. Which, technically is impossible since one cannot be reminded "half-way" of a rainbow. It'd be either completely or not, and since I did, I did. Anyway, I'm off tangent. Where was I? Ah yes, I was lecturing conversing with you concerning your sleeping cycles. They need fixing (and the irony of me being up this late typing my concerns to you does not escape me).

Although, concerning the piece, aren't Soot's gloves supposed to be brown? I distinctly remember you drawing them brown sometime in Freshman year, but it's been a while. I just feel as if the material sort of gets swallowed up by Soot's overall color scheme. It would be more eye-catching if it was a different color entirely. Buuuut, it's still quite lovely to look at.
