To me, it looks like a stormy landscape, but I am curious as to how you took a photograph that translated so well into black and white! I love abstract photography and this is an awesome piece.

thanks. the original image had a fairly restricted number of colours, so the monochrome conversion didnt require as much tweaking as some others ive done.
and i can see the stormy landscape now. thanks for pointing it out.

that would be telling... seriously, though, i do wonder about telling people what the object is in an abstract image. i think maybe i'd rather ask you what you feel it is. i'm coming to the conclusion that with these sorts of images the viewer's interpretation is as important as my own when i created it.

A chance for greatness.
It really looks good.
Reminds me of some photographs I saw in a restaurant in brooklyn.
They were close-up photos of beach chairs and umbrellas.
But the way it was composed and the colors made it look like an abstract painting.
Very cool stuff.
