Description Hopefully you’ve been busy constructing a sturdy chariot to carry you through the race. Show off your ride!

Busy busy beavers. Your damn right. <8U I'll try to keep this explanation as brief as possible. I promise. lol We did so much reseaaaarrrch.

Steel And Stone
Chariot Design

Frame and Construction:
The frame of this chariot was built with efficiency and speed in mind. The entire chariot is made from fiberglass - stronger and lighter than wood. It's not susceptible to burning, better resistant to projectiles, and won't splinter. Due to the decreased weight, the chariot is much easier for the horses to pull, giving an advantage for speed. To further increase their speed, the entire frame has been soaked in a heavy coat of clear lacquer, giving the sides and walls of the chariot better reinforcement, a smooth exterior, and allows air to glide effortlessly over the shape of the chariot. Lines and overall design was also built with the best aerodynamics in mind while still carrying two passengers.

Features:
Rein Guides: Small supports with holes for the reins to be pulled through and available for steering. Each rein will be tied into a heavy knot on the inside of the chariot so that they won't slip through. This will ensure that control of the reins is not lost, if for some reason the driver looses grip of the reins, they'll only retract so far as the knot, allowing for Keith to get control again quickly.

Foot Breaks: The chariot has been equipped with disc breaks on the inside of the covered wheels to accommodate for better control of steering and tight turns while racing. There's one break on each side to control the appropriately sided break so that Keith can stand and manipulate the breaks as needed without additional thought or hassle.

Swivel Chair: A tall chair bolted to the frame of the chariot designed to sit at the appropriate height to allow Keith to stand while driving without actually standing. It provides him a support piece to focus more on his reins and his arms without worrying about knees buckling.

Enclosed Wheel Wells: Fairly self explanatory. These protect the wheels from potential attack, as well as providing a bit of extra protection for the frame and mechanisms underneath. By encasing the wheels in the fiberglass and lacquered surface, it also reduces the wind drag on the vehicle.

Two Tug Lines: Greek chariots are notorious throughout history for being the absolutely worst chariots ever constructed, largely due to the single tug emerging from the bottom and center of the seat. Two tug lines are used for better control of the horses and during turns. It also better distributes the weight of the chariot as the horses pull, keeping the animals from getting fatigued too early. The tugs are attached directly to the frame and axle of the chariot inside the covered wheel wells to deter from tampering or attempted sabotage.

No Slip Grip: The floor of the back half of the chariot where Lucy will be standing and providing offensive support has been topped with a "No Slip Grip" to help keep her balance. Due to the high number of water users in this race, it also keeps her from sliding out the back of their chariot after taking on water.

Leaf Spring Suspension: "A simple form of spring, commonly used for the suspension in wheeled vehicles. It is also one of the oldest forms of springing, dating back to medieval times." - Wiki. Supporting the axle and attached directly to the frame for better stability and shock absorption.

Grease Trap: There are two tanks at the rear of the chariot, each with their own spout out the rear containing grease. A security measure for the final lap, Lucy is able to release each tank individually (should she choose to extend the effect), releasing grease all over the track. Not only does this make everything slick and dangerous for both chariots and horses (Don't break any legs! ;__; ), Lucy is also able to fire one of her Lazer Lights directly into the fluid and set it on fire. Both a distraction and an obstacle to allow them better time to get ahead, leaving the trap in their wake.

Horses:
Two horses from Apollo's own chariot, the very same that pull the sun over the earth every day. On loan of course, and with dampened flame ability so as not to set the entire camp on fire. A strong advantage for this team because these horses (besides being a God's pet) pull a rather violent chariot and cargo every single day. A small race with Demigod's should prove to be a simple task.

I HOPE I DIDN'T FORGET ANYTHING. Dx
