Description In art we're learning about Asian art, so the teacher showed us these Japanese symbols and told us to copy some down.
I remembered that I had a calligraphy set, so today I practised and copied down these symbols.

First time I actually wrote something with my calligraphy pen XD

Which one is your favourite symbol?

And yes, I followed the stroke order.

It's interesting how the "Strength" is the katakana symbol for "Ka".

This is so cool! Great job! I really like it! I think my favorite symbols would have to be either peace, dream, or harmony.

Would you happen to know how to write out the words, "Rise above"? I've got a tattoo coming up soon, and I'd love to know the FOR SURE way to draw these symbols.

So far, I can only write strength and harmony(out of all those) correctly. Japanese is cool!

you have a cool class. ^_^ From what I heard, stroke order is important

Technically, to rise above is θˆžγ„δΈŠγŒγ‚‹
There's no kanji that I know of that explicitly means "rise above."

I don't usually bother with stroke order unless some japanese person is watching.. lol ^o^
