I wanted to do a planet for each of my alien concept heads, here's the planet for the bottom middle alien of this set phill-art.deviantart.com/art/A…
These aliens live in a harsh environment of volcanic activity, earthquakes and subzero temperatures, since the terrain is constantly changing they have to stay on the move. Few tribes have been able to find stable locations to build big enough ships, hoping to relocate to safer planets.

if I could recommend an idea for alien concepts: you should make aliens that look as unlike any living thing on earth as possible. it seems like there are so many aliens based off of things on earth, but honestly, that doesn't make much sense. they are aliens. not earthlings. I see a lot of people doing humanoid aliens and aliens based off of animals on earth, but if we ever meet aliens, I doubt they will resemble anything we are used to. if you wanna do something REALLY original, I would say invent your own body parts. forget pincers, tentacles, and arms/legs. let's get some inventive BS all up in this alien! now, this is not in any way meant to say that your alien concepts suck. I like them. it is merely a suggestion.

There's an artist I watch tutorials from and he's an experienced professional illustrator that's worked on a lot of movies and video games (even Micheal Bay's Transformers). He said that an illustrator's creations should make some kind of sense to the audience, something they can relate to. Making something too abstract and original is actually counter productive in this industry because people won't connect to what you're trying to show. But thanks for the suggestion, there's always room for originality, but it has to be balanced! : )

Absolutely beautiful. Insane to think you have what seems to be buildings there! Either it's an overzealous military base, a crazy scientist outpost, or some locals that think that the house is just 'bout perfect.

Thank you! Actually they're supposed to be vehicles, you can see from the foreground object that it has tank-like treads and wheels, but they're hard to make out I suppose.
