Gorgeous & stunning image. Just viewing it almost feels like being immersed in that crazily surging water. Love the grand cinematic sweep!

I really don't understand anyone NOT looking at a picture like this fullsize. What the point? Yet according to the stats nearly half have not. Maybe some are interupted or it's not their cup of tea or something. Still, I wonder how many think they've "seen" it by viewing the default thumb only. Shrugs - Very odd. Anyways, truly spectacular work.

Thanks for posting another teaser.

With all you are doing these days, has this project been totally back-burnered, or are you still working plugging away at it, if I may ask?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Philipstraub In reply to keight [2006-01-15 01:25:53 +0000 UTC]

Hi there old friend..

Its not toally backburned but, it is a struggle to get it all done. If you recall, I've always planned to create about 125 illustrations, many of them double page spreads. I'd say I'm about half way through so maybe a completion date of around 2008. It will work as both an "Art Of" book as well as an illustrated story. Thanks for asking

Phil

Philipstraub In reply to Mejjad [2006-01-15 01:27:32 +0000 UTC]

Hi there...

Many of the illustration I post here, on other forums and on my website are for my own book project that will have a minimum of about 125 illustrations. The illustrations are drawn from a fantasy story I've been working with for a few years. Hopefull I can have it out by 2008

Thanks for your interest..

Very interesting.
Be sure to tell deviantart when it's done and where we can buy it! I'll stick around to 2008, for sure.

nice idea and the movement, great scene, the structure most on left side doesnt exactly fit in there (the grey color, same guy before lcd, less detail than the one closer to monolith... it just doesnt feel right)...
