I love the expression in this piece. I noticed that in a lot of your other pieces the ducks all have the same or similar expressions, so this piece really stands out. I also love the shading. The crosshatching is very well done and you weren't afraid to do with very dark values, as I find a lot of people are. A couple of your other pieces don't have shading at all. It'd be nice to see the complexity of the shading in your grayscale pieces combined with colour.ย Not sure what medium this is in (almost looks like a ballpoint pen), but perhaps going back and cleaning up some of your rough work would make it look more professional. If it was done in pen, I would suggest working in pencil first next time and then once you have the sketch done then going over it in pen, so that you don't end up with rough lines you can't erase. I'm just suggesting this because I can see here that the guidelines for the head and feet are still visible and whatnot. But other than that, great job.
