Welpp my beach vacation snuck up on me and It's physically impossible for me to get this all cleaned up in time for the exchange!
So I decided to turn this in as is so ~Shear-Rohark can see it (I made her wait a ton! D: )
and so I can sign up for the next month.
(Because who doesn't love a good genderbend?!)So this is 's Hawaii-living bird fursona, Jess!
(Can I say, I am incredibly anthro-challenged- so I hope this turned out okay!
)(Also I threw in a neckclase because ... I liked it. o u o; )
Technically this counts as a speedpaint?
I spent 2 and a half hours on it so far.
Anyways, I'm sorry guys I'll fix this up real nice when I get back from the beach!

Painting styles always appealed to me and I just love the feather textures prffff- especially around the neck <3

Love the vivid colors!! I think I rather like a more loose version of your rendering than the overworked stuff, just as a thought owo/. There is a lot more life and energy here than some of your more detailed work. It might be cool to see your experiment more in styles that rely more on energy, gesture, and color more than fine rendering details.

I always feel like I spend too much time fixing values and details... sooner or later I wonder if it even helps the artwork in the first place. :/ Glad I wasn't the only one noticing some of the "life" of the original piece was lost.
I've actually been working on my gestures a little bit but I have yet to use it in a serious piece of work!
But will do!
