The competition is pretty good as someone posted an absolutely gorgeous iris with colors the likes I've never seen before

Fractal like in the angle you chose to shoot from and really and truly I have never seen that color before and we raised them in all colors when I was a kid.

it was a hard one to get the darn wind was blowing and it kept closing up on me took around 50 shots of it this was the best i think.

Every spring from late March to late May there is a constant wind out here blowing all day and most of the night. It gusts randomly and makes taking pics outdoors a bit of a challenge

This reminds me of the wild roses that grew beside my Grandfather's carport. He loved those things. After his death they literally withered away and died. No amount of working on/with them would keep them alive. Once he was gone, so were they.
