It's really raw, and definitely evokes emotion. It's dark, broody, and lovely. I think the hand is just fine. ^-^

I love the simplicity. A lot of your artwork is so detailed and colorful; it's very interesting to see the other side of the spectrum.

When I don't do detailed stuff I feel like I'm being lazy though. XD

I believe that, to some extent, a prerequisite to being an artist is laziness. XD And yet, we always seem to get stuff done... >.> Must be the deadlines. >_O
My point is: DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT! 8D No harm in being lazy in-between your usual phenomenal artworks, especially considering that your laziness still makes for an incredible piece of work.

I know some really unlazy artists though. D:
al;jdf;kljawl;jf nuuu. I can't be lazy. *tortures self with detail*
I'm probably just obsessing over unlazyness because of the absolute mountain of scholastic work I have.

I actually like this creepy dark feel you captured. Really does feel like he's walking like a ghost. what did you use? ink? India ink?

Oh thank you for thinking my view on art is unique, it's made me smile quite a lot. I shall check Phantom of the Opera out of the dvd section of my library.

I really like it. The wing is my favorite art of it. I'm actually a big fan of scribbley works. You also wicked make we want to try watercolors again. It's been too long since I've tried using some. Unfortunately I don't think my style would go too well with it. : \
Bottom line, love it!

Thanks! I'm terrible with wings so I'm glad you think it turned out ok! Maybe I'm getting better.
Try watercolours! Though, I guess I'm a bit of a hypocrite to say that since I don't like using watercolours. XD This is acrylic actually. Except for the scribbley lines which are ink. Watercolours make me very uneasy since if water ever touches them they'll be ruined. That's why I prefer acrylic. >.>

Really!? That's acrylic. Wow...would have never guessed. I've messed with acrylic paint a few times, it's ok I guess. I remember it being very thick and plastic like. You must water it down quite a bit?

Yep! I water it down quite a lot. It works great. It lasts longer and is cheaper.

I like the raw feel of this, makes me think of something Erik himself may have sketched. I think the form behind him could be either wings, or a shadow...or perhaps both. Very nice.

Hee hee, I'm not sure. Erik wants to be an angel so I doubt he'd draw a relatively "dark" and slightly "negative" version of himself.
